BIOGRAPHY
Sam Condor has been a Member of Parliament for the seventeen years and since the Labour Party seized the reins of power in 1995, he has served as the Leader of Government Business in the National Assembly.
His training and qualifications in Economics and Developmental Studies have enhanced his performance in his various assigned portfolios.
In Trade and CARICOM Affairs, he has emerged as a regional spokesperson and leader on the challenges facing the region brought about by the issues of globalisation and trade liberalisation.
Under his stewardship, he has greatly assisted with the liberalisation of the telecommunications industry which has brought about improved and increased access to the public.
True to his trade union roots, he has worked to bring about improvements for the workforce including an increase in the minimum wage and amendments to the Protection of Employment Act.
During his watch, workers have enjoyed increases in pensions and other benefits of Social Security.
On the home front, this ³Love I² man who is an avid sports enthusiast enjoys a ³love² relationship not only with his constituents but with people across the entire nation.
It is a credit to his personality to note the ease with which the youth relate to him. His commitment to youth development and empowerment will ensure his continued close monitoring over the schools in his community towards a more holistic approach to this process.
The Labour Party¹s housing and land distribution revolution has been the envy of the region. In a new term, Sam will continue to explore options to meet the housing needs in Buckley's and West Farm and throughout the entire constituency. |
