SHIRLA HUGGINS REPRESENTS ST. KITTS AT MISS TOURISM INTERCONTINENTAL PAGEANT IN SANTO DOMINGO

, ST. KITTS (JUNE 24TH 2004) – St. Kitts, through the franchise of the Haynes Smith Miss Caribbean Talented Teen Pageant Committee, has sent a representative to the Miss Tourism Intercontinental Pageant being held in the Dominican Republic.
 
Second Runner-Up in the 2003/2004 Miss St. Kitts National Carnival Queen Pageant, Miss Shirla Huggins of the Reign of Elegance Modeling, which is collaborating with the Haynes Smith Youth Club, is the representative.
 
The Miss Tourism Intercontinental aims to strengthen the bonds of fraternity, while promoting tourism, beauty and culture on a global scale.
 
The prestigious event began on June 22nd with the Grand Finale on Saturday 26th June. Contestants are accommodated in a 5-star hotel, where amenities and activities include city tours, fashion show, cocktails, entertainment, folklore night and rehearsals.
 
A spokesman for the Reign of Elegance Modeling Agency, has expressed thanks to the St. Kitts Tourism Authority, the National Carnival Committee, CSR/DDL (St. Kitts) Ltd., Brown Sugar Clothing Co., Island Hopper, Scruples, Oh La La Fashions, Mustard Seed and Huggins Auto Services & Rentals, for assisting Miss Huggins and her chaperone, Mrs. Telca Wallace, for providing assistance.
