VICEROY SPONSORS WINNING CARNIVAL TROUPE

(The Valley, Anguilla): Mr. Curthley Carty,  President of the Valley Community Carnival Troupe, today, handed the winning trophy to Mr. Alex Samek Project Director of Viceroy Resorts.

Mr. Carty on behalf of his organization expressed his gratitude for the financial role Viceroy played in making the troupe’s participation more dynamic and inpressive.

Mr. Carty said that it is this sort of corporate commitment to the national culture and activities that demonstrates that Viceroy has a vested interest in Anguilla as a whole and not just for financial rewards.

Mr. Alex Samek in his response said that Viceroy is committed to Anguilla not only as an island in which to invest but also in its people.  He highlighted the property’s desire to employ as many Anguillians as possible upon its opening in the near future.

Mr. Samek pledged his continued support and highlighted that Viceroy has made similar significant support to Anguilla’s culture including the national sport of boat racing in all classes.  In closing Mr. Samek thanked Mr. Carty for his kind gesture of the handing over the winning trophy and said it would be placed where it can lend testimony of Viceroy being a good corporate citizen in Anguilla.

This is the fourth consecutive time which the Valley Community Troupe has won the best troupe since Viceroy has been its sponsor. Viceroy has pledged to continue its sponsorship of the Valley Community Troupe for the ensuing years.
