PRIDE Press Release- Game 2 of finals

By: PRIDE, Press Release

SANDY POINT, St. Kitts (9th, April 2017): PRIDE made 'all the right moves in all the right places' on Saturday night as it's high-octane offense clicked on all cylinders while going on to crush the Wolf Pack, 96-78, to take a 2-0 series lead in the 2016 SKNABA 'A-division finals.

The SP ballers were hardly prolific in the first quarter—especially when judged by their championship-caliber standards—but they created separation to begin the 2nd.

In a stellar and balanced effort, National Team Guard- Chavez Belboda finished with 36 points (17-of-22 shooting, 2-of-4 from three), three assists and four steals , while microwave-scorer extraordinaire Taslin Belboba lit it up to the tune of 20 points 8 rebounds 11 assists 4 steals.

The Wolf Pack made positive strides to start the game two nights after PRIDE shredded them by double digits in the opening quarter of Game 1. However, the improvement was merely marginal for the Division's No. 2 seed (PRIDE #1), as it fell by 18 points, to the hungry Lions from Sandy Point.

The dependable Sheeno Liddie led a balanced PRIDE defensive stand, as he finished with 15 pts 19 rebounds  3 assists 3 steals 1 block. Blossoming in his new role as starter, Secada Garoden added 12 points 17 massive rebounds 4 assists and 4 blocks, to follow his clutch game 1 performance. Stephen Rawlins chipped in with 12 pts 7 rebounds 2 steals to lead the second unit.

After suffocating the Wolf Pack in Game 1 to the tune of 75 points, PRIDE's defenders were draped all over Wolf Pack's' shooters throughout the game 2 contest, according to coach Rambo.

"We wanted to set the tone defensively from the jump and we were able to do that with much success tonight!"

Capturing even one win against this PRIDE juggernaut would be a monumental achievement for such a depleted Wolf Pack team that is quite simply overmatched across the board.

Game 3 and the potential series clincher is this coming Tuesday April 11th @ 7:00pm when PRIDE look to capture what is expected to be the first of many future championships!
