BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – EXACTLY one year after she began working at Kajola Kristada, Marcia Paddy was named that company’s February 2017 Employee of the Month (EoM).
SKNVibes spoke with the unassuming woman recently, who explained that she somehow knew that she would have been named the EoM.
“I had a feeling…because as I work, I know I’m going to do well and I would be Employee of the Month. For the past couple of months, I know I have been working very hard. And whenever my supervisor would come and tell me to do whatever, I would do it efficiently. I had a feeling because I pushed a lot of work recently.”
Paddy works on the SMT Line and her Line Leader Julianna Griffin said she is a quality-oriented worker.
“She is a tremendous worker. She is accountable, dependable and quality-oriented. She is just extra-ordinary…I could put her to work anywhere and rather than saying that she can’t get something done, she always says she would try her best. And her best is what she gives.
“She is one of my top solderers and she gives me rates everyday.”
Griffin congratulated Paddy on her achievement, encouraged her to keep up the good work and wished her similar success in the future.
Paddy, a Guyana national who has been residing in the Federation for seven years, informed this publication that she has every intention of continuing to produce quality work.
As for her colleagues who have yet to win an Employee of the Month award, Paddy encouraged them to “to put their mind to the work and do it efficiently. Talk less and work more”.
