BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - A traffic accident that occurred in the White Gate area this afternoon (Apr. 15) has resulted in the death of one man and the hospitalisation of a child.
According to information reaching SKNVibes, a vehicle bearing registration number PB 204 was travelling along the Island Main Road when it ran into a tree and is said to be totalled.
Details are sketchy at this time but, according to information just received from Grell Browne of the Police Force’s Public Relations Office, “Traffic investigators and officers of the Sandy Point Police Station are investigating a fatal traffic accident in the White Gate area.”
Browne stated that initial reports indicated that the incident occurred at 3:00 p.m. and that the victim is a male. He also stated that another person who was in the vehicle was transported to the JNF Hospital.
This publication however learned that the injured person is a young male.
Photos gleaned from the scene showed him with injuries to the head.
