BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – INFORMATION reaching this publication states that members of the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) are on the hunt for a native of St. Kitts, who on Friday (Apr. 28) had escaped from their custody.
The escapee’s name was given as Olanzo Dore, formally of Cayon, but currently resides in Virgin Gorda.
Reports state that Dore was charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm and, according to Virgin Islands News Online, the 31-year-old prisoner had escaped after making an appearance at the Magistrate's Court on Virgin Gorda.
The media house also informed that a release from the RIVPF states: “The escape reportedly took place around 12:40 PM when the prisoner was being taken to board a ferry for Tortola after making an appearance at the Magistrate's Court on Virgin Gorda.”
Virgin Islands News Online further reported that police stated that anyone who has seen Mr. Dore or know his whereabouts to immediately contact the Virgin Gorda Police Station through the RVIPF access number 311.
