Police Press Release 04-05-2017: Report of arrests, convictions and other activities

    Basseterre, St. Kitts, May 04, 2017, (RSCNPF): Below is a report of Arrests, Convictions and other activities recorded by the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force for the period May 02nd 2017. 

     

    ARREST AND BAIL:  
    Arrested/Bailed: Vendol David of Cayon was arrested formally charged and cautioned for the offence of Causing Death by Careless Driving committed on Friday 7th April 2017, at Frigate Bay. He was granted bailed out in the sum of $50,000.00 sum for his appearance at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on Thursday 15th June 2017.  Bail was granted with the following conditions: To report to Cayon Police Station every Monday between 12 midnight and 12 midnight of following night (2) Surrender travel documents.
     
    Bailed: Javon Alford of Willets Housing Project St. Paul's who was charged with the offence’s of Possession of Cannabis, Possession with intent to supply and driving an unlicensed vehicle committed Monday 1st May 2017. He was granted bail in the sum of $7000.00 for his appearance at the District "B" Magistrate Court on 12 June 2017.
     
    Bailed: Kwamin Morton of Cayon Street Basseterre who was charged with the offence of Simple Larceny was granted bail in the sum of $3,000 for his appearance at the District “B” Magistrate Court on June 12th 2017. Bail was granted with the following condition. Defendant is to stay away from the virtual complainant and his Omni-bus. 
     
    Bailed: Hakeim Yanick Mills of Lion Hill Sandy Point who was charged with the offence’s of Attempted Murder and Possession of Firearm and Ammunitions was granted bail in the sum of $100,000 for his appearance at the District “B” Magistrate Court on 12th June 2017. He was granted bail with the following condition; Accused is to surrender his Passport and is banned from renewing or otherwise obtaining a new passport. 
     
    COURT CONVICTIONS: 
    In matters at the Basseterre Magistrate Court the following conviction was recorded:
     
    OTHER ACTIVITY: 
    Abandoned Properties Search: Police continues to executed searches of abandoned properties; most recent searches were done in the following area: Two abandon buildings on Hibiscus Street in Greenland’s. The Searches were executed for illegal firearms and ammunition, illegal drugs and instruments that can be used in criminal activity.     
     
    Traffic Accidents: There were Four (4) accidents on the federation’s roadways (3) in St. Kitts and (1) in Nevis during the period of this report. 
     
    Citizen Safety: Police continue to conduct Vehicle Check Points and Stop and Searches along the island main road on St. Kitts and Nevis. Officers continue to conduct searches of abandoned properties and lots. The execution of search warrants continue as well. These activities are being conducted in support of anti-crime objectives to remove illegal firearms and ammunition, illegal drugs and other instruments that can be used to commit crimes from our communities.
