NEMA’s Disaster Preparedness Committee District 1, led by Mr Rhon Boddie, has begun to mobilize its volunteers through a series of meetings dubbed “getting to know you”.
A number of activities have been planned, including zoning the district which spans the area from East Fort Street and Victoria Road right over to the South East Peninsular, and from the Newtown Bay Road up to Gillard’s Meadow.
To jump start these activities “Walk-Through the Zone” has been planned. The first of such will commence on Wednesday 17th May 2017.
Residents of District 1, are encouraged to give their fullest co-operation and support for your Disaster Preparedness Team, if information is requested of you.
