‘A Taste of VIST’ A Second Time Around

    GIS, 18 May 2017 - The Virgin Islands School of Technical Studies (VISTS) will host its 2nd annual ‘A Taste of VISTS’ grand fundraiser in June.

     

    Principal, Ms. Germaine Scatliffe said that the event to be held on Saturday, June 17 at 6:00 p.m. and will feature a showcase of talent, creativity and intellect.

    Ms. Scatliffe said, “The main purpose of the event is to promote the programmes that the school currently offers to the general public, all the while raising funds to assist with equipment and supplies.”

    The fundraiser will include a buffet dinner, a hair show, a car show exhibition, aesthetician demonstrations, live food/drink demonstrations, singing, dancing and music entertainment.

    Tickets can be purchased at Hazem’s Beauty Supply and at the school’s front office in Baugher’s Bay.

    General admission is $40 with tickets and $50 if payment is made at the gate. Children under 12 and high school students with ID are $20. Students and children can also pay at the gate.

    The Virgin Islands School of Technical Studies was designed with an awareness of the holistic and functional needs of students who are interested in developing skills that will enable them to pursue trades and become productive citizens.

    The public is encouraged to support and attend the event as the school strives to empower the future.
