Event ticket sales spike since release of provocative "Intro" video
New York: One weeks after he broke the internet with the release of a short film for his debut album “Intro,” which has racked up almost a million views on youtube, dancehall sensation Dexta Daps is heading stateside to be a headline performer/ host of Oracabessa BLISS, the newly minted 'All white, All inclusive, Premium Day Party,' that takes place on Memorial Monday, May 29 at the Eisenhower Park, Nassau County in Long Island, NY.
"We have definitely seen a surge in ticket sales and calls to outlets since the release of his latest video" said Irie Jam CEO Bobby Clarke.
"New York is buzzing and fans are excited to see him perform here" Clarke disclosed.
The twelve-track project was produced by DASECA Productions with guest spots by Alaine and Blakkman.
Daps popular has soared stateside since he emerged on the scene with his dancehall anthem '7eleven,' which became a staple on reggae charts globally. His follow up hit "Shabba Madda Pot" - an ode to the mother of dancehall Emperor Shabba was another chart banger that is still burning up the airwaves in the tri-state area. Since then he has been consistently putting out great songs like 'Dreaming,' 'Pretty Nicky,' ‘Morning Love’ and ‘Jealous Ova,’ an erotic duet he recorded with dancehall diva Tifa.
Oracabessa BLISS kicks off at noon and goes until 8pm. It includes a tantalizing food village with Gourmet cuisine by 5 star celebrity chefs including Andre Fowles, 2X Food Network's Chopped Champion; La-Niece Lyew, executive chef & owner of Milk River Restaurant; Patrick Simpson, executive chef at BB Kings and Chef Chrissy, executive chef & owner of A Place To Go Westchester, NY.
The all-inclusive party price includes exotic drinks and beverages all day. Their will be on site masseuses, a VIP cabanas, a fashion show with celebrity guest hosts. Top Jamaica and NY area selectors including Rory from Stone Love; Renaissance Disco with Jazzy T & Delano; Captain Collin Hinds of FAME FM; Road International; Dubbmaster Chris will entertain patrons all day with the best selections of reggae, dancehall, soca and R&B music.
