BRITISH VIRGIN ISLANDS (May 22, 2017) – Join Therapy Works BVI, Ltd. in congratulating Jahnai Pickering for completing his studies and obtaining his Physical Therapist Assistant Associates Degree on May 9th, at Keiser University in Florida, United States.
Mr. Pickering is an upstanding BVIslander and resident of the first district. He joined the team at Therapy Works BVI, Ltd. on July 1, 2013 as a Physical Therapist Aide. He quickly showed interest and much promise in the rehabilitation field with a great desire to advance. Dr. Jerry Smith, CEO of Therapy Works, recognized the talents of Mr. Pickering and enrolled him in Keiser University’s PTA program in 2015.
Mr. Pickering will return to the BVI and Therapy Works to provide services to the community this summer after completing his board exam and becoming a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant. Mr. Pickering now joins a very small handful of locals credentialed in the field of physical therapy.
Physical therapy (PT), also known as physiotherapy, is a physical medicine and rehabilitation specialty that remediates impairments and promotes mobility, function, and quality of life through examination, diagnosis, prognosis, and physical intervention. It is performed by physical therapists (known as physiotherapists in many countries).
