The Ministry of Education is currently accepting applications for teaching positions to be filled for the upcoming 2017-2018 school year.
ALL applicants will be obliged to attend a two (2) weeks Pre-Service Seminar/Workshop at the Multi-Purpose Room at the Burdon Street campus, Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College. The Pre-Service Seminar will run from Monday, 10th July to Friday, 21st July, 2017.
It is important to note that successful applicants will be drawn only from those who have the minimum qualifications. Individuals who wish to teach at the Early Childhood or Primary Level must have at least FIVE CSEC subjects, including English Language, Mathematics, a Social Science subject (History/Social Studies/Geography) and a Science subject. For individuals who wish to teach at the Secondary Level, they must possess at least five CSEC subjects including English Language and the relevant passes at the CAPE Level or above for the Secondary/High School.
Additionally, prospective teachers will be required to sit a literacy and numeracy test.
ALL applications should reach the Ministry of Education, addressed to the Chief Education Officer, no later than Friday, 9th June, 2017.
