One died in St. Paul’s shooting incident

    BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – ONE of the three men who were earlier today (Jun. 6) shot in St. Paul’s Village has succumbed to his injury or injuries, according to a police update.

    In a previous article, SKNVibes had published that police had confirmed a shooting incident that occurred shortly after mid-day in Rawlins Ground, St. Paul’s, which resulted in injuries to three young men.

    A message was subsequently sent by the Police Public Relations Officer stating that one of them had died.
     
    This media house learnt that the deceased is 32-year-old Jahma Francis of Willet's Project in St. Paul's Village and the police informed that he was pronounced dead at the JNF General Hospital.
     
    The two injured men were identified as a 22-year-old resident of Willet's Estate and an 18-year-old resident of Willet's Project.

    This incident comes three days after businessman Sean Smith (41) of Taylor’s Village and mechanic Dennis ‘Bun Up’ Liburd (46) of Lower Westbourne Street were murdered after being shot in Taylor’s Village, and four days after 37-year-old Lydia Jacobs was shot in the yard of her Grace Development Housing residence in Church Ground and pronounced dead at the Alexandra Hospital in Nevis.
     
    The police are encouraging members of the public who might have information regarding this incident to goorward and share it with them.
     
    Such information can be passed to the police by calling the Basseterre Police Station at 465-4421, or any police station, Crime Stoppers at 1-800-8477(TIPS) or by using the SKN Crime Reporter App on your Smartphone. 

    This person’s death has taken to 14 the number of homicides committed in the Federation for the year; six on Nevis and eight on St. Kitts.
