Thursday 20thJuly, 2017 (St. Kitts & Nevis) – The St. Kitts Nevis National Carnival Committee received, no doubt by coincidence, 46 entries for the Sugar Mas 46 (Carnival 2017-18) Slogan Competition. The submission window ran from June 3rd thru June 30th, 2017.
A panel of seven (7) Judges including Ms. Julie Martin, Ms. Takeasha Taylor, Ms. Jonelle Rawlins and Messrs. Lester Hanley, Jermaine “Sacky” Lake, Gawain Fraites, and Jason “Pinnochio” Mitcham met on Wednesday 12th July, to select the winning Slogan. The research unit then put the winning slogan through a series of checks to confirm its authenticity.
The decision making process was incredibly tough, having to choose from the many creative submissions. The criteria used to decide the Winner were:
Slogan’s content must be linguistically clean; original; easy to remember; easy to announce; embrace all Carnival activities; and it should be specific/relevant to Sugar Mas 46.
The Winner of the Sugar Mas 46 Slogan Competition is Mr. Omal Dawson. His winning Slogan is:
“Participate, Get in the Mix for Sugar Mas 46!”
Said Slogan will be used throughout the upcoming season to enhance all promotions for Sugar Mas 46.
The Winner will receive 2 general tickets to all Carnival Pageants and Competitive Shows.
