BASSETERRE, St. Kitts & Nevis (August 4th, 2017) – Flow would like to congratulate our very own Kimara Martin, better known as “Lady Diva” for capturing the crown at the first ever Caribbean Female Calypso Competition held on the sister island of Nevis on Monday July 31st at the Cultural Complex. The competition included calypsonians from eight Caribbean islands including Antigua, Dominica, St. Kitts, St. Martin, Montserrat, Tortola, Trinidad and St. Vincent. Kimara performed “Gender Equality” in the first round and “To Be Cancer Free” in the second round.
Lady Diva has been known over the years for her energetic performances in such events as the Sugar Mas Senior Calypso Monarch, Soca Monarch and Female Calypso Bacchanal, winning the latter in 2016. Mr. David Lake, Flow Country Manager, stated: “I am very proud of Lady Diva on her recent success.
We are all happy to have royalty among our FLOW family.” He further mentioned that, “Lady Diva could look forward to the continued support of the Federation’s only full service telecommunications provider in the upcoming Sugar Mas 46.”
