BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - TELECOMMUNICATIONS service provider Lime will later today (Jan. 7) announce the winner of its Live for Free Promotion.

According to Lavern Caines, LIME Manager of Corporate Communications, the promotion is geared towards affording the winner an opportunity to have all of his/her expenses covered by her company.

Caines promised that LIME would continue to provide value and service to its customers, noting that more creative and innovative offers would be released for this year.

She said that as of today, LIME would, for 12 months, cover all of the winner’s expenses, including mortgage or rent, telephone bills and shopping.

Caines disclosed that the second place prize is a vacation for four and they could be any four members of a family. “Perhaps the person who wins this may not have a family and may want other people to join him or her on a vacation,” she explained.

She further explained that the promotion would conclude a tone down to the closure of LIME’s financial year which ends in March.

Caines noted that in December the company had two major additional promotion offers geared to enhance the service that it provides to customers. She noted that the promotion which was held at the C.A. Paul Southwell Industrial Site was primarily for the women who work in that area.

She noted that the promotions, which offered customers a free phone after a top up of EC$40, realised an overwhelming response. “It was really overwhelming! More importantly, we wanted people to come out and see what we had to offer.”

This, Cianes said, was twice executed - once in the industrial area and the other in the vicinity of First Caribbean Bank, adding that all the phones allocated for the promotion were quickly dispensed due to crowd response.

“Well it was a first come first serve basis, so whoever came first and topped up their phone that day was able to get the free phone,” she said.

Persons who topped up received a phone, sim card and EC$40 in credit.
