    The following persons were convicted at the Basseterre Magistrate Court on 9th February 2007;

    Craig Mills of College Housing who was charged with the offence of "Cultivation of a Controlled Drug" to wit cannabis committed on 8th September 2006 was convicted and fined $2,500.00 to be paid in six (6) months or in default to serve six (6) months imprisonment with hard labour.
     
    Also at the said court, Charles Webster and a sixteen-year-old (16) male juvenile both of Herbert Street, Newtown had their charge of "Building Breaking With Intent" reduced to that of "Being found in an enclosed premises with intent to steal". Webster was subsequently sentenced to serve one (1) month imprisonment with hard labour to run consecutively with a previous conviction of three (3) months imprisonment, while the juvenile was sentenced to receive five (5) strokes. The offence was committed on 10th October 2006 when they were found at the premises of St. Kitts Prepatory School at Taylor's Range, Basseterre.
     
     
    The following persons were convicted at the Sandy Point Magistrate Court on 9th February 2007;
     
    ·         Lionel French of Saddlers, who was charged with the offence of "Threatening Language" committed on 26th December 2006, was convicted and cautioned.
     
     
    The following persons were arrested and charged with offences between 9th and 11th February 2007;
     
    ·         On 9th February 2007, Devon Harris of Fort Thomas Road was charged with the offence of "Carrying abroad an offensive weapon" to wit a knife and hatchet, committed on the aforementioned date.~~adz:Right~~   
     
    ·         On Saturday 10th February 2007, a sixteen-year-old (16) male of Pond Hill, Nevis, a seventeen-year-old (17) male of Hanley's Road Gingerland, Nevis and Warren Browne of Rawlins, Gingerland, Nevis were all charged with the offence of "Battery" committed on 9th February 2007, at Charlestown.
     
    ·         Chino Evans of Sandy Point was charged with the offence of "Larceny" committed between 26th and 27th January 2007.
     
    ·         A seventeen-year-old male of Saddlers Village area, was charged with the offence of "Assault" committed on 9th February 2007.
     
     
    On Saturday 10th February 2007, a traffic accident occurred along the Island Main Road at Cayon, in the vicinity of St. Mary's Park, involving motor Omni Bus H-8501 which was driven by Harvey Liburd of Newton Ground and motor jeep P 5391 which was driven by Kurt Gutierrez of Bird Rock. Both vehicles were extensively damaged, and Liburd who sustained injuries to his face was treated at the J.N.F Hospital and subsequently discharged.
     
     
    ~~adz:Left~~    On Saturday 10th February 2007, officers of the Tabernacle Police carried out a search in the Tabernacle area, where they found and destroyed an illicit distillery. To date no one has been made accountable for the find.
     
     
    Also on the same date, in Nevis, members of the Task force carried out an operation in the Rawlins Village area of Gingerland, and uprooted approximately one hundred and sixty six (166) cannabis plants ranging from one (1) to four (4) feet in height. No one was held accountable for the find.
