On 28th April 2007, Quincy Duncan of Caunt Street, Newtown was charged with two counts of "Possession with Intent to Supply a Controlled Drug" and two counts of "Possession of a Controlled Drug" to wit Cannabis and Crack Cocaine.
The offences were committed on 27th April 2007, at Carty Alley Newtown where Duncan was found in possession of the drugs.
Duncan was stopped and searched by officers of the Drug Unit and found in possession of ten (10) ziploc bags containing vegetable material suspected of being cannabis.
He was also found in possession of seventy-nine (79) pieces of a hard off-white substance wrapped in foil paper suspected of being crack cocaine.
The drugs have an estimated street value of approximately $2,000.00 Eastern Caribbean Currency.
Fort Thomas Road Findings
On Saturday 28th April 2007, officers of the Strike Force Unit discovered a bag containing forty (40) ziploc bags with vegetable material suspected of being cannabis.
The drugs were found inside of an abandoned house at MountIdle, SandyPoint.
No one has been arrested in connection with the find and investigations are ongoing.
The drugs have an estimated street value of approximately $800.00 Eastern Caribbean Currency.~~adz:Right~~
In the Old Road Police District, seventy-two (72) marijuana plants were found growing on an empty plot of land in the Verchilds area.
The plants, which ranged from seedling to three (3) feet in height, were found on Saturday 28th April 2007. The drugs have an estimated street value between $10,000 and $20,000.00 Eastern Caribbean Currency.
