BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – A Public Works Department employee is reportedly in a critical but stable condition at the JNF General Hospital after he was shot multiple times to the body while in bed at his Shadwell Estate home early this morning (June 17).

According to the Police Force’s Acting Press and Public Relations Officer, Sergeant Stephen Hector, some unknown person(s) broke and entered the dwelling house of Leroy ‘Jacky’ Hanley and shot him multiple times whilst he was in his bed.

Information reaching this publication indicates that the 39-year-old carpenter was shot in the lower chest, leg and hand.

SGT Hector said that Hanley was transported to the JNF General Hospital and two persons of interest are being sought by the police, as investigations are ongoing.
