    ROADTOWN Tortola BVI, February 23rd, 2012  --  After winning the X-Factor Competition, with native Melanie Amaro, and topping the charts with IYAZ, the BVI is seeing growth with other R&B/HIP Hop Artists and this country is where the A&R’s are now scouting for the next big artist.

     

    On February 6, 2012 the BVI was buzzing with a debut video from artist Mullah Gwop who is locally managed and promoted. The video was the talk around the islands and gained over 10,000 views, 250 likes and over a 150 comments within its first week of launching.

     

    Shot in the BVI, the single has a dash of everything surrounding life, such as love, loyalty, trust, cheating and deception. The video was also produced locally by film crew V-Islander Media, the video is to industry standards and the BVI is proving that they have what it takes to get their artist in the international spotlight.

     

    In a radio interview with Disc Jockey Craig Lake, Mullah received calls of support from all around the region as well as the USA. Mullah Gwop has over 19000+ likes on his Facebook fan page and the maximum amount of friends for his personal page which shows his music is really getting attention.

     

    On March 7, 2012 the BVI will be having their talents on display and sources from the BVI confirmed that Mullah Gwop will be taking the stage and performing his single “I wish you never” which is featured by one of the best vocalists in the island, Kirk Adams who is also rumored to be the next one to be sent to the X-Factor Competition from the British Virgin Islands.

     

    Mullah Started rapping just for fun but was soon to realize that this would be his passion. In an article posted on BVI News Online with the subject “NO BEEF” it was rumored that Mullah has bad blood with R&B Artist IYAZ and some fans actually stated that they preferred Mullah’s style over that of IYAZ.

     

    Mullah’s management team also stated in a subsequent article that the only thing that was missing from Mullah moving to the next level is the opportunities and stressed if given the opportunity there is no doubt that he will soar to higher heights.
