ST.JOHN'S Antigua, March 6th, 2012 -- His Royal Highness, Prince Edward, the Earl of Wessex and Her Royal Highness, Sophie, the Countess of Wessex is currently on a two day official visit to Antigua.
The red carpet has been laid at Nelson’s Dockyard and the Royal couple has been greeted by Governor General Dame Louise Lake-Tack after arriving on their yacht, The Leander.
The Prince and Princess are visiting Antigua and Barbuda as part of a global tour celebrating the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.
The Royal couple has already been on a tour of Nelson’s Dockyard and its Museum. Later today the Countess of Wessex will plant a tree and then they travel to the Interpretation Centre to receive a historical presentation.
The Royal party then returns to Nelson’s dockyard, where the Prime Minister will host lunch at Admiral’s Inn. Her Excellency the Governor General will host a State Dinner at Mill Reef.
Her Excellency will present an address to the nation and HRH Prince Edward will deliver the Queen’s message to Antigua and Barbuda
