SCASPA Holds Customer Service Workshop

    ROBERT L. Bradshaw International Airport, April 2nd, 2012   –  The St. Christopher Air and Sea Port Authority has organized a customer service workshop for its frontline personnel both at the airport and the seaport to equip them with the requisite customer service skills needed to effectively serve the internal and external customers of the Authority.

     

    This workshop is a part of the ongoing training and development program that SCASPA provides for its staff.

     

    According to the Human Resources Manager of SCASPA, Mrs. Marilyn Rogers, the purpose of the workshop is to improve SCASPA’s delivery of services to its customers.

     

    “SCASPA is committed to investing in the development of its employees to ensure that they perform at a high standard. Management notes the deficiencies in our operations, and puts in place activities that will correct these deficiencies.

     

    One of the priorities that we have here at SCASPA is that we deliver excellent customer service; it is important that our customers receive service that makes them feel satisfied and happy.”

     

    The workshop that spans from April, 2nd – 5th, is facilitated by Dr. Sybil Jones. The participants include Customer Service Ambassadors, Dispatchers, Security Officers and Clerks from the Seaport Operations, Human Resources and Finance and Statistics Departments.

     

    A total of thirty employees of the Authority will be participating in the four-day workshop; fifteen employees will attend each two-day session.

     

    The topics to be covered are as follows: Know your Customer, Attitude Create Reality, Listening, Confirming Satisfaction, Self Control, Anticipate Needs, Dealing with Angry Customers, and Handling Complaints. In order to reinforce the concepts and models discussed in the workshop, a role-paying component will be included in the seminar.
