Seizure Of Cocaine As Canadian Couple Departs V.C Bird International Airport

    ST.JOHN'S Antigua,  April 17th, 2012  --  On Saturday 14th April, 2012 The Office of National Drug and Money Laundering Control Policy (ONDCP) conducted a counter drug operation which resulted in the seizure of 4 kilos of cocaine with anestimated street value of approximately EC $565,115.00.

     

    A 49 year old male Robert Veillette and a 37year old female Angie Eliotte both Canadian nationals were arrested at the V. C. Bird Int’l Airport after they attempted to board a flight destined to Canada with the illegal narcotics. Also arrested for his involvement in the matter is 29 year old Kenny Reynolds, a Dominican, who resides in Antigua at lower Gambles.

     

    Both Canadian drug couriers have been charged with the following; Drug Trafficking, Possession of Cocaine, Possession of Cocaine with intent to supply, Exportation and Being concerned in the supply of Cocaine, while Mr. Reynolds has been charged with Drug Trafficking, Being concerned in the supply of Cocaine and Exportation.

     

    The persons involved will appear in the All Saints Magistrate court on Tuesday 17th April, 2012 to answer the related charges.
