BASSETERRE St. Kitts, July 30th, 2012  --  On Sunday 22 July 2012, members of the Regular Corps of the St. Kitts Nevis Defence Force (SKNDF) worshipped at the St Peters Anglican Church, as part of the Corps activities to commemorate the 15th Anniversary of its reactivation.

Present at the Church Service were His Excellency, the Governor General of St Kitts and Nevis, Sir Cuthbert Montraville Sebastian, GCMG, OBE, KStJ ,  The Right Honorable Dr. Denzil Llewellyn Douglas, Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Lt Col Patrick E Wallace Jp, the Incumbent Commander, commissioned officers and other ranks of the Force. The Service was officiated over by The Rev. Canon Captain Isaiah E. Phillip, Parish Priest and Force Chaplain.

The main theme for the church service was “Loyalty.” The Force Chaplin charged that Loyalty was the foundation for cohesiveness, efficiency, productivity and good performance at the various levels is key to professional development of the organization.

Rev Phillip reminded all officers of the benefits of loyalty and also the costs of disloyalty and lack of unison of command within the senior echelon. The Force Chaplin encouraged the ranks and files to be diligent and prudent in the discharge of their duties for the general good of SKNDF and the country at large.

The Church Service was well attended. Members of the congregation prayed for God blessings on the Force and commended the persistent efforts and commitment shown by the men and women in ensuring safety and security within the borders of our beautiful land.

The SKNDF wishes to thank those members of the general public and in particular the Parish of St. Peters, for joining us in giving God thanks on this special occasion.
