Rotary offers more time – reschedules dance xplosion

By: Rotary Club, Press Release (RCL)

Basseterre, St. Kitts – The Rotary Club of Liamuiga (RCL) has rescheduled its dance competition, “Dance Xplosion – This Is Your Chance2Dance!”

The new dates for the Competitions are October 27th, 2012 (Semifinals/Eliminations) and November 10th, 2012 (Finals).

“The addition of this event to our annual calendar is an important milestone for the Club and we want to produce an event of the highest quality,” said President Lester Hanley. “We listened to advice from our Club members and interested persons in the public and have decided to make several changes to the format of the competition. To accommodate these changes and offer an extended opportunity for participants to become familiar with the changes, we have decided to reschedule the semifinals and finals competition.

“We apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused. We are committed to this event and have been encouraged by the response and community support we have received so far. We hope this additional time will offer an opportunity for other individuals and groups to submit an application and take advantage of this ‘chance to dance.’”

The adjustments to the competition are as follows:

    • All competitors must be between ages 16-30.

    • Two competition categories: Individual Category and Group Category (2-6 members)

    • New application deadline is Monday October 15th 2012.

Over $5,000 in cash and prizes will still be up for grabs!

Application forms and further information are available at
www.rotaryliamuiga.org or facebook.com/rotaryliamuiga or by emailing the planning committee at rcldancexplosion@gmail.com.
