BASSETERRE, St. Kitts- TODAY (Jun. 7) is a big day in Nevis regarding Culturama with the well-anticipated public launch of contestants expected to partake in the annual festival.

Collectively, over 25 competitors will be unveiled for the Miss Culture, Miss Culture Swimwear, Miss Teen Nevis, the inaugural Mr. and Miss Talented Youth and Mr. Kool.

The action is slated to take place in the island’s capital Charlestwon at the A.L. Evelyn Building, Charlestown, starting at 4:30 p.m.

There is much buzz and excitement about their identities as is customary leading up to the launch of contestants in different shows.

As gathered from the Culturama Secretariat office, there are six contestants for both the Miss
Culture Pageant and Miss Teen Nevis, and five each to vie for the title of Miss Culture Swimwear and Mr. Kool.

For the Mr. and Miss Talented Youth, 12 individuals are expected to take part, eight of whom should be present at today’s event.

Executive Director of the Culturama Secretariat, Abonaty Liburd spoke with SKNVibes today and stated that so far, plans and preparations for the staging of the 39th annual Culturama festival are going “quite smoothly”.

He highlighted that tomorrow (Jun. 8)) the Culturama festival would partner with the St. Kitts Music Festival in having an island-wide motorcade.

The procession is expected to move off at 1:00 p.m. from Artisans Village.
Liburd said that the contestants for the Miss Culture Queen, Mr. Kool and Miss Culture Swimwear Pageants as well as the St. Kitts Music Festival Promotional Models would be in the motorcade.

He further said that on Sunday (Jun. 9), a church service would be held at the Charlestown Methodist Church.

Later that day, contestants of the three senior pageants - Miss Culture, Mr. Kool and Miss Culture Swimwear - will participate in a photo shoot event, which is intended for the promotional images.
