Caribbean Catwalk to feature Alison Hinds

    BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - CARIBBEAN Queen of Soca Alison Hinds will be performing live at the 2nd Annual Caribbean Catwalk that will be hosted in New York City at the Hotel Pennsylvania. 

     

    In addition to Hinds, the Caribbean Catwalk will also feature over 15 Caribbean-American designers who will showcase their fabulous collections on the runway. 

    Some of the designers gracing the runway will include Francis Hendy, Contagious, Jewel Shannon Designs, Soft Lines, Khalils Hatitude, Gadol Designs, Chila For Fun, House of DMarsh, Riddim Driven, Thomas LaVone Designs, Cleopatra Designs, Berchell, Riddim Diven, Ejor Designs, Cole Facts, and debuting his line on the runway is 38-year-old Kittitian Henry R Marsham Jr, a seasoned and certified Wedding and Event Planner and the founder and CEO of Virgin Islands Fashion Week (VIFW) and the ‘Caribbean Catwalk’ NYC. 

    Henry will debut his clothing line under the label ‘Caribbean H20’ with a 17-piece collection dubbed ‘Island Rhythm’, a collage of swimwear depicting flags of the Caribbean islands.

    Headlining the cadre of designers is 11-year-old Tyyan Williams who is of Trinidadian heritage. 

    This trendy ‘tween’ prodigy is a rising star in the designing world and has launched a line of clothing called Pinky Sez. Tyyan loves working with bold colors, satin, polka dots, stripes and big bows. 

    She dreams some day of having her designs showcased on fashion runways around the world.

    The show will open with a spectacular cultural costume display from the Virgin Islands JamBoree Mas Inc., while Trinidadian Caprice Connors and Spindarella will be the show’s co-hosts. 

    Barbadian comedian Synck, whose work includes BET’s Comic View, Caroline’s and the Laff Factory, will be on hand to entertain the audience with his unique brand of comedy.

    Caribbean Catwalk NYC promises to be an affair to remember as top Caribbean fashion designers and models come together under one roof tomorrow (Jun. 28) at the Hotel Pennsylvania, located at 401 Seventh Avenue, New York, NY at 8:00 p.m. sharp.
