According to a notice from the Chief HR Officer Mrs Daphne Cassell, based on the GoM’s long term priority learning and development needs, scholarships were awarded to eight nationals to study at various institutions across the Caribbean and the United Kingdom.

The seven areas of study are Bachelors of Science (BSc) in Surveying & Geographic Information Sector, BSc in Social Statistics, BSc in Geology, Bachelors of Arts in English, BSc in Nursing Administration, BSc in Computer Science and Post Associate Degree Diploma in Psychiatric Nursing.

Two students were giving scholarships to study geology based on the government’s push for green energy and geothermal exploration.

“We continue to facilitate the process of nation building with a view towards developing the competencies needed in the workplace,” Mrs Cassell noted.
