BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – “NOTHING beats a failure but a trial; so all who want see me fall say me nar make it…stop live inna denial. It’s another hit song...Face it me a roar like lion from since me born.”

The above are some of the lyrics from a new self-penned song called ‘Someday’ by popular uprising artiste 24-year-old Kervin ‘Infamus’ Benjamin.

In the chorus of the song, Infamus belts out: “I’m gonna make it someday, Jah Jah’s gonna lead the way...Where there’s a will there’s a way...Jah Jah’s gonna find a way...I’m gonna make it someday Jah’s Jah’s gonna lead the way...”

‘Someday’ was released in July and the official music video, which was directed by well-known national producer Nigel ‘Capo’ Lewis of Tru Capo Productions, was released via popular social media networks Facebook and Twitter on Thursday (Aug. 1).

The beat for the song was produced by K Pump Rogers in Jamaica and recorded at Nasa Recording Studio in St. Kitts.

SKNVibes had a chit-chat with Infamus and one of the questions posed quizzed him about the content of the song.

“The song is basically about my journey so far for the past three years, and it was also written to encourage youths and elders alike to never give up on their dreams. Also, the song was made to encourage youths to be humble and build respect for those before us.”

“Where there is a will there always a way”, he lyrically inserted.

Asked what he has been up to lately in the music field, Infamous said, “Just writing, studio time and doing lil shows around the region…Anguilla, Tortola and St. Maarten, trying to get my hype back to where it was so I could push forward positively.”

The official music video features scenes of a galloping majestic-looking white horse and a fierce-looking black panther.

When asked about the concept of the video, Infamus shared: “Well, I just wanted it to be as simple as possible so my fans could actually see my face for a bit and have time to listen to what I'm saying. And the animals are just to show strength and humbleness.”

The upcoming artiste stated that Capo “has been there since the start” of his musical journey.

And in the video of ‘Someday’, Capo, who is usually behind the scenes, makes short appearance alongside Infamus.

Asked what his fans and music lovers could expect from him moving forward, Infamus replied: “Well, the usual hard work and dedication to bring forth good music all the time.”
