BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - LAST night (Sept. 15), well-known Jamaican Reggae artiste Jah Cure, along with members of his band, touched down at the Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport in St. Kitts; three nights in advance of the Independence Super Concert.

The event is scheduled to take place at the Warner Park Cricket Stadium in Basseterre at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday (Sept. 18).

It falls on the eve of the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis’ 30th Independence Anniversary and admittance is free.

Along with Jah Cure, famous Jamaican Reggae family band Morgan Heritage is also a headline act.

Additionally, well-known Jamaican Gospel singer Carlene Davis is also scheduled to perform at the Independence Super Concert.

SKNVibes exclusively interviewed Jah Cure at the airport following his arrival.

He spoke enthusiastically about being back on the island and gave an insight as to what his fans and music lovers could expect from him on the night of the show.

“It's great to be back in a special place like St. Kitts, and the fans can expect nothing but good Reggae music. I'm always trying to make sure that I project my best for the people of St. Kitts and anywhere in the world. My job is to do my best every time and (we are here) for my St. Kitts people and all my fans here.”

Jah Cure said he would deliver his best songs to the best of his ability.

“I’m just here to do my best, so everybody could enjoy themselves because, you know Jah Cure don't sing anything but positive, good heartfelt music. So I'm just gonna deliver my best songs to the best of my ability so that everybody could enjoy and talk about my show after. So, that's my mission (that) everybody get the message and enjoy the show.”

Slated to perform at the Concert also are the Nu Vybes Band International (De Sugar Band), Small Axe Band and the Majestic Gospel Band from St. Kitts as well as a special guest appearance by Los Pachamama.

Jah Cure is best known for his hit songs such as ‘Unconditional Love’, ‘Never Find’ and ‘Longing For’ as well as most recent jams like ‘Stronger’,  ‘That Girl’ and ‘My Hands’.

This would be his fourth performance in St. Kitts, as he first performed here in 2008 and had returned in the following year.

He last performed in the Federation in 2011 for the 15th annual St. Kitts Music Festival in which he brought an electrifying end to the three-night affair.
