E Carter to make SKN a household name worldwide

    BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - UPRISING St. Kitts-Nevis Hip-Hop artiste and entrepreneur Eric ‘E Carter’ Carter has an overall mindset to do his part in seeing that the twin-island Federation and the Caribbean get household recognition on the global scene.

     

    The 22-year-old is currently attending York University in Canada and is enrolled in the Finance Honours Programme. 

    In an interview with SKNVibes, the young man explained that his overall goal is to create a household name for his country and the Caribbean region.

    In 2008, Carter successfully graduated from the Washington Archibald High School, where he attained passes in eight CXC subjects.

    He then went on to earn an Associate’s Degree in General Arts and Science following his two years of studies at the Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College in St. Kitts.

    At his high school graduation, E Carter was awarded the Marcella Liburd Award for Academic and Athletic Excellence having obviously exercised a commendable balance and performance between his schoolwork and sports as a footballer.

    In the area of sports, E Carter is a former member of the St. Kitts-Nevis National Football team and also represented his country at the under-16 level.

    In regards to his entrepreneurial goals, Carter is currently working on establishing website (www.Islandboii.com), whereby visitors to that site would be updated on his music and have the opportunity to purchase T-shirts.

    E Carter has a strong affiliation with the iRep Music Group of St. Kitts-Nevis and is in the process of making music with two popular faces of that music group...Dagah and Dejour, both of whom performed on the 17th annual St. Kitts Music Festival in June.
     
     In 2011, he competed in the ZIZ Song Competition.

    Additionally, before he departed the Federation, he regularly recorded music at Heat Rock Productions with music producers Jesse Pierre and Asim Jenkins. 

    E Carter highlighted that for now he is basically a solo artiste but a member of IslandBoii Music Group, which comprises another rapper by the name of Abstract P as well as other affiliates.


    He was recently featured on a track with a Canadian rapper named Mayne Ishu. The track is called ‘Doing My Job’, which is said to be getting good reception on the airwaves in Canada.
