    From Democrat Newspaper

Basseterre, St.Kitts (Friday September 27th 2013):- The Zion Moravian Church was the venue where “Team Unity” assembled on Sunday 22nd September  at 9.30am to begin a historic week in which saw the Official launch of the Team UNITY campaign.

Over one hundred persons who identify themselves as members of the two political parties on the island of St. Kitts that have become united in one cause attended the service.

Team UNITY Leader Hon. Dr. Timothy Harris, Parliamentary Representative for Constituency seven, Hon Eugene Hamilton, Parliamentary Representative for Constituency eight, Hon Sam Condor, Parliamentary Representative for Constituency three, and Mr. Ian “Patches” Liburd, who is the UNITY candidate for Constituency one, were all at the service and were on familiar grounds as all four candidates are Moravian members.

Greetings were brought by the Hon Eugene Hamilton on behalf of the gathering in which he asked the church to keep members of “Team UNITY” in their prayers.

An outpouring of love across the church could not be escaped as the membership welcomed the visiting supporters of UNITY.

The service was as expressive in word as it was in song and set the stage for the big event of the week which took place at  Greenland’s Park which saw an estimated gathering of over 7,000 people. Observers have declared that the launch was easily the largest political rally outside of a 14 day election campaign ever.

There was no band or foreign artistes at the launch. Just 11 candidates representing 3 major parties UNITED in a common goal to make the federation Better.
