BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – THE 28-year-old Jamaican songstress, Tessanne Chin, delivered a powerful rendition of ‘Many Rivers to Cross’ by living Reggae legend Jimmy Cliff on Monday night’s (Nov. 4) premier of the Live Shows segment of The Voice aired on NBC.

The show featured 20 performers from Team Adam and Team Blake.

Last night (Nov. 5), contestants from Team CeeLo and Team Christina were scheduled to perform.

The fate of these aspiring artistes rests in the hands of voters in the US and those in other territories eligible to vote

On Thursday night (Nov. 7), during a special episode after the voting window is closed, two artistes from each team will be eliminated.

Tessanne Chin is a former back-up singer for Jimmy Cliff, having done so before she became a solo artiste.

She was the last performer on Monday night’s show. And following her performance, her coach, Adam said, “Your talent is mind boggling. In my opinion, it does not get better than this.”

Information found on www.nbc.com revealed who are eligible to vote.

“Anyone calling, texting (Sprint mobile subscribers only) or voting through online (NBC.com, the NBC Live app, the NBC app, or Facebook) from within the Continental US, Hawaii, Alaska and Puerto Rico during the applicable vote windows can cast vote(s) for artists on The Voice. To vote online, you must be 13 years of age or older and provide your e-mail address, or have a valid Facebook account. To vote via text message you must be a Sprint mobile subscriber (message and data rates may apply). To vote via iTunes, you must click to download an eligible song to a valid iTunes account (see iTunes terms of service for more information) from within the United States, its territories and possessions during the applicable vote window.”

To vote for Tessanne Chin persons can call 877-553-8710 or text 10 to 8642.

Tessanne Chin had made her debut performance at the annual St. Kitts Music Festival in 2007.

She was slated to return this year after the initial line-up was publicised. However, she was replaced by well-known Jamaican Reggae and Dancehall artiste Christopher Martin due to schedule conflict.

Many people are familiar with Tessanne Chin’s music, which include popular songs such as ‘Hide Away’, ‘Broken Melody’, ‘Messenger’ and ‘Never Let Me Go’ featuring Shaggy.

Thursday night’s episode, for viewers in St. Kitts-Nevis, begins at 9:00 p.m. since the US has its usual daylight saving time frame, which is an hour behind.
