BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - ONCE again aspiring Jamaican songstress Tessanne Chin was among the announced top competitors voted for by the public in the USA and those in other eligible territories during last night's (Nov. 12) live results on The Voice aired on NBC.

Following last night's show, Tessanne Chin has now advanced to the Top 10.

On Monday night (Nov. 11), she delivered a dynamic performance on the second Live Show segment that featured the Top 12 contestants.

She performed 'My Kind of Love' by Emeli Sandé; a song that she dedicated to her husband Michael Cuffee Jr.

Tessanne Chin’s husband and her sister, popular Jamaican dancehall artiste Tami Chynn, were seated in the front row among the audience cheering her on.

Last night, she was the first competitor from Team Adam to be saved and the fourth contestant to breathe a sigh of relief to having been selected in the Top 10.

From among the top 12  artistes, for the first time in the history of the show, which is in its fifth season, two contestants were sent home based on viewers votes while one was rescued through the newly-implemented 'Instant Save', which is based on vote 'Tweets' submitted by fans via the popular social network Twitter during a five-minute window.

Last night, celebrity voice coach Adam Levine and his three team members, including Tessanne Chin, of course, gave an energetic performance of 'A Hard Day's Night' by the Beatles.

Tessanne Chin made her debut performance at the annual St. Kitts Music Festival in 2007.

She was slated to return this year after the initial line-up was publicised. However, she was replaced by well-known Jamaican Reggae and Dancehall artiste Christopher Martin due to schedule conflict.

Many people are familiar with Tessanne Chin's music, which include popular songs such as 'Hide Away', 'Broken Melody', 'Messenger' and 'Never Let Me Go' featuring Shaggy.

A two-hour episode of The Voice is slated to continue on Monday night (Nov. 18) as the competitors get closer to the lump sum cash prize and a recording contract.

That episode, for viewers in St. Kitts-Nevis, begins at 9:00 p.m. since the US has its usual daylight saving time frame, which is an hour behind.
