National Carnival Queen contestants sashed

    BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - THE five vivacious beauties who would be vying for the title of National Carnival Queen were presented sashes displaying the name of the companies that are sponsoring them for the Pageant.

    The Sashing Ceremony took place at Stone Walls on Princes Street on Monday (Dec. 3). 

    The first from the bevy of beauties presented was Miss Carib Brewery Ltd Yarayni Morton, who was followed by Miss ZIZ Broadcasting Corporation Shakeda Gerald, Miss National Bank Ltd. Lasanna Yearwood, Miss LIME Kaeve Armstrong and Miss Development Bank of St. Kitts-Nevis Brianda Harvey.

    They were first introduced to the public on November 22 at the Official Opening of Sugar Mas’ 42 and have since made a number of appearances, with the most recent being at the Health and Fitness Fair held on Friday (Nov. 29) in the Independence Square.

    The ladies are expected to make a series of promotional appearances before the Pageant.

    The pageant will take place on December 27, 2013 at the Sugar Mill in Warner Park, where the ladies will appear in a number of judged segments including Creative, Wear, Talent, Evening Wear and Interview.
