Free foot-care clinics

Press Release

TORONTO, ONTARIO, Canada – December 10, 2013  --  Under the leadership of Dr. Katharin von Gavel – PhD; BSc Pod; DNM; DCh; and Founder of the North American School of Podology (NASP) – a dynamic group of 60 dedicated doctors, nurses, aestheticians and pedicurists, along with the Graduating Class of 2014, will bring their wealth of foot care expertise to St. Kitts, to complete their residency for a Bachelor of Science, Podology (BSc Pod) degree.

This unique program offers FREE FOOT-CARE CLINICS to diabetics and anyone in need of leading-edge, professional foot-care.

“The renowned (late) Dr Astaphan was instrumental in bringing the NASP team to St Kitts in 2007 and the tremendous success of our program – which has literally improved the feet of hundreds of Kittitians – has kept us coming back”, stated Dr. Katharin von Gavel.

The NASP Graduating Class of 2014 will be offering a four day hands-on clinic, to help Kittitians with skin and nail related foot problems, from January 21 to 24, 2014…ALL ABSOLUTELY FREE!!

This diverse group of dedicated professionals will be travelling from across North America, and they will be volunteering their time and efforts to performing pedicure services.   In addition to this, Footlogix ® is providing all necessary footcare products, again with NO CHARGE to recipients!

If the past sessions are any indication, the graduating students, doctors and technicians will once again attract long line ups, with a potential of more than 700 people being treated over the course of 4 days! These foot-care professionals and the graduating NASP students will be offering foot care for Diabetics and a host of other foot-related skin and nail conditions, including extreme rough and dry skin, painful cracked heels, severely thickened toenails, and much, much more… Since there are no advertising budgets available for this event, readers are encouraged to spread the news of this FREE NASP clinic by word-of-mouth, to those in need of treatments. Please note that people will be seen on a first-come, first-treated basis and therefore are advised to come early.

Following are the dates, the times and the location for the FREE NASP foot-care Clinics:

DATES: Tuesday January 21 to Friday January 24, 2014

LOCATION: The old “BOYS’ SCHOOL”, Basseterre

“Educate. Differentiate. Elevate.” optimally communicates the features and benefits of taking the NASP courses, to our prospective students. In essence, NASP has elevated the basic pedicure to the art and science of Pedi-CARE,” founder, Dr. von Gavel.

“Our mission is to change the quality and safety of pedicures… one foot at a time. And if we can help those in need of serious foot care, then we have taken the most gratifying steps, not only leading to our future success but also while contributing to the health of those with the greatest of needs,” concluded Dr. von Gavel.

This dynamic group of students have worked hard and dedicated two years to completing this program.  It is in part these dedicated professionals who make this philanthropic event such a success, plus our team of trained professionals who dedicate many hours towards the event as well as the valued sponsors and businesses who have donated time and/or products.
