Two artistes confirm availability for future show

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – JUST over a week after heavy rains forced the postponement of the International Night for this year’s Carnival celebrations, Chairman of the Carnival Committee Sylvester Anthony said that the group has not yet decided on another show.

Speaking with SKNVibes Entertainment, Anthony revealed that since the postponement of the concert, the committee is still in talks about a held over show which might take place in January.

Although all of the previously slated artistes have left without performing, the Chairman told this publication that both Jamaican superstars Aidonia and Taurus Riley have sent written invitations showing their availabilities for any upcoming shows.

According to Anthony, the committee has not received any word from the other two artistes about their availability.

Meanwhile, when asked about the losses the committee suffered due to the unexpected weather that caused the postponement, the Chairman said: “Well, we cannot say now exactly how much was the losses because we normally ascertain all of that after the Carnival season is over.”

SKNVibes Entertainment was made to understand from the Chairman that over 600 persons have since gone forward to claim refunds for their tickets. However, it is unclear how many tickets were sold.
