SKNVibes wishes to apologize to mobile phone users in St. Kitts – Nevis who would have recently received an unsolicited text message via our SMS Text platform 7568. SKNVibes has contractual arrangements with a number of third party clients who are allowed to use our 7568 SMS Text Messaging platform to provide specific services such as advertising promotions and specials to their registered and subscribed customers only.
These types of messages may include, but are not limited to, in store specials, discount coupons, special sales events, specific customer discounts, general customer service updates and other pertinent details relevant to a specific third party’s registered and subscribed customers.
SKNVibes is an equal opportunity business. We offer our services to the general public and other businesses providing that they meet all of our policy requirements.
Once such requirement for using the 7568 SMS Text Messaging platform is that it must not be used to spam customers nor send unsolicited messages to mobile users. Another is that it must not be used to send political messages.
In this particular instance there was a breach of our text messaging policy by one of our third party clients, which resulted in various persons receiving a text message that was not compliant with the types of messages that third party subscribed mobile users should receive. This client has violated both of our policies and as a result their use of the platform was suspended indefinitely.
Additionally, we have implemented some filtering mechanisms as well as some other protective measures to disallow messages that are not in keeping with our policies from being disseminated via our 7568 text messaging platform in the future.
An opt-out message option has also been added for all future text messages to ensure that mobile users have the option to not receive any further messages via that service. Also all future messages through the platform will be pre-screened by SKNVibes before they are sent out.
The management of SKNVibes sincerely apologizes for any inconveniences that this may have caused and assures mobile users that this situation will not reoccur.
