By: Entertainment Reporter, SKNVibes.com

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – NEWS reaching this media house states that 55-year-old Livingston Cain, who was arrested on Thursday (Mar. 13), was slapped with five charges moments before the guilty verdict was handed down to Vybz Kartel, Shawn Campbell, Kahira Jones and Andre St. John for the August 2011 murder of Clive ‘Lizard’ Williams.

According to Rjrnewsonline.com, Cain of Stony Hill, St. Andrew, Jamaica was charged on Saturday (Mar. 15) with five counts of attempting to pervert the course of justice and conspiracy to pervert the course of justice.

Cain faced the Half Way Tree Resident Magistrates Court last Tuesday (Mar. 18) and was granted bail in the sum of JA$750 000.

He was ordered to report to the Stony Hill Police Station daily and warned not to make contact with any of the former jurors. He was also barred from leaving the country.

Meanwhile, “Last Thursday, investigators went to the juror's house and reportedly seized a cell phone and other evidence as part of the probe. According to the Jamaica Constabulary Force Corporate Communications Unit, the man approached a juror to sway the decision in favour of Vybz Kartel and the other men who were on trial,” the media house reported.

RJR news online further reported that the day before the verdict of the four entertainers, the accused approached the foreman and offered her JA$500 000 to swing the case in favour of the entertainer and his co-accused.

It was also reported that Cain’s offer was later rejected and the foreman reported the matter to the authorities.

After the arrest was made, law enforcement officials then raided Cain’s home and seized a number of cellular phones to determine the source of funds and the other conspirators.

A compact disk with alleged recorded conversations was handed over to the defence last Wednesday (Mar. 19).

The accused will make his next court appearance on Friday (Mar. 28.)
