BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – THE young man who was earlier this evening (Mar. 27) shot to death near his Frigate Bay home was identified as Glenford ‘Pilly’ Gumbs Jr.
This publication learnt that the 37-year-old Gumbs and his wife, driving separate vehicles, were on their way to their Bogie Street, Frigate Bay home sometime before 8:00 p.m. when the incident occurred.
It was also learnt that on reaching their destination, Gumbs exited his vehicle and was shot multiple times to the body by an unidentified individual or individuals.
He was pronounced dead by either Drs. Mervyn Laws or Reginald O’Loughlin who were both present at the crime scene.
According to the Police Press and Public Relations Officer, Inspector Lyndon David, Gumbs' wife did not sustain any physical injury during incident.
He also informed that no one was held for the shooting death but investigations are ongoing.
