April 9, 2014  --  After being away from the Jamaican market for awhile, international recording artiste Steele is getting ready to cement his Jamaican connection with the song She Believes in Me, and why not. The singer who hails from Lucea, Hanover has made the trek several times back to his homeland to perform on the Sumfest stage and other events.

The Kenny Rogers classic cover She Believes In Me has already taken off in Canada and other countries.

“The song has been enjoying great play on radio and in the dances in Canada, while in England it’s a favourite for many. The video for the song is currently on YouTube  and enjoys steady real views.

“ I want to share this song with the foundation, after all it can only help when Jamaica endorses it,” said Steele.

The song is well overdue as far as the artiste is concerned.

He said it’s been a while since he has released anything personally to Jamaica although he has been voicing for producers such as Computer Paul with his latest project being the track Who Jah Bless on Paul’s Double Trouble riddim compilation.

The song is already receiving some amount of airplay in Jamaica but Steele says from the feedbacks he has been receiving it’s just a matter of time before others are hooked on the reggae flavoured version of the country hit.

Steele, who is known for his many hits over the years for songs such as Let’s Stay Together, Another Confrontation, Slave Drive and his duets with Queen Ifrica and reggae crooner George Nooks said the plan is to be more ‘visible’ in Jamaica.

That ‘reconnection’ will start next month ... will that include a stage performance? With a secretive smile on his face he said, “you never know ... but trust me you won’t miss my presence in Jamaica!”
