Ottley’s villager wanted by police

WANTED: Geron Walters

    BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – POLICE are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a fugitive wanted for allegedly breaching an injunction protection order and causing grievous bodily harm.

     

    He is 31-year-old Geron Walters of Ottley’s Village and is said to be five feet seven inches tall, brown in complexion with brown eyes, black hair and weighs 120 pounds.

    According to a police communiqué, two warrants of arrest are in existence for Walters who allegedly committed the offence on Wednesday (Apr. 16) and members of the public are asked not to harbour him.

    “Anyone who harbours or helps him in any way to evade the police commits an offence and will be arrested and charged. Anyone with any information about his whereabouts is asked to contact Sergeant Powell at 667-7380, Special Victims Unit at 465-2241 ext. 232, the nearest police station, or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-8477,” police said.

    The communiqué also said that anyone’s information leading to Walters’ capture would be treated with confidence and the person may be eligible for a reward.

    According to a January 28, 2013 police report, Walters was convicted for the offence of malicious damage, which was committed on June 9, 2012, and was ordered to pay compensation of $1 000 to the victim in three months or, if in default, be confined in prison for six weeks.

    Another police report dated Tuesday, April 8, 2014 stated that Walters was formally charged with housebreaking with intent; an offence he allegedly committed on Tuesday, April 1, 2014.
