BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – GERON WALTERS of Ottley's Village, the man for whom two warrants were in existence, was taken into police custody.

A wanted poster of the 31-year-old was published on Friday (Apr. 18) for allegedly breaching an injunction protection order and causing grievous bodily harm on Wednesday (Apr. 16).

In a press release issued last night (Apr. 19), Police Press and Public Relations Officer Inspector Lyndon David thanked the editors and staff of their respective establishments for “your assistance and cooperation in the publishing of the wanted poster of Geron Walters via your media outlet”.

“Please be informed that since the circulation of the poster he has been taken into police custody. Therefore, I am once again soliciting your assistance and cooperation by informing the general public of him being taken into police custody, and remove the poster from circulation,” the PRO added.

This is not the first time that Walters had brushes with the law.

A police report in January 28, 2013 stated that he was convicted for the offence of malicious damage, which was committed on June 9, 2012, and was ordered to pay compensation of $1 000 to the victim in three months or, if in default, be confined in prison for six weeks.

Another report, dated Tuesday, April 8, 2014, stated that he was formally charged with housebreaking with intent; an offence he allegedly committed on Tuesday, April 1, 2014.
