    District Conferences are held annually in every Rotary District throughout the world and provide the opportunity for clubs to exchange ideas and showcase their achievements.  This year the Rotary Clubs of District 7030 will descend upon Fort-de-France, Martinique during the period 22-26 April.  The programme during the 5-day Conference will include:

    •   3 days of training: Presidents Elect Training Session, Secretaries Elect Training, Membership Development, Support and     Receive Grants from the Rotary Foundation, and other interesting topics for all Rotarians;

    •   1 day will be used to define and present projects on the theme “ENGAGE ROTARY, CHANGE LIVES”, the motto for this Rotary Year;

    •  A District Assembly to receive District Reports from the District Governor and various District Committee Chairpersons and to ratify District By-laws and Constitution.

    These sessions are being attended by Presidents Elect (PEs) and Secretaries Elect (SEs) of the nearly seventy (70) Rotary Clubs within Rotary District 7030 and Assistant District Governors Elect (AGEs) of the countries/territories within the District.

    This training is an important Event on the Calendar of the District and Rotary International (RI) as it is the time when the new officials receive the training necessary for them to effectively carry out their duties for the upcoming Rotary Year.

    The RCL will be represented by President Elect, Dr. Marcus L Natta (Classification: engineering and education), Secretary Elect Ms. Natasha St. Juste (Classification: marketing and financial services) and President Nominee, Ms. Tuffida Stewart (Classification: accounting).  The RCL members will join their counterparts across the Eastern Caribbean in answering Rotary International’s President Elect Gary C.K. Huang call to “Light Up Rotary” for 2014-15.

    "The Rotary way is the Confucius way. The Rotary way is to light a candle.  I light one, you light one, 1.2 million Rotarians light one.  Together, we light up the world," said Huang, who is a member of the Rotary Club of Taipei in Taiwan.

    The new Boards of all Rotary Clubs worldwide take up duties on 1 July every year.
