BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – TEAM Unity brought the curtains down on their Easter activities yesterday (Apr. 21) with a Beach Bash and Family Fun Day on the Frigate Bay Beach.
Party members and supporters jammed to the music in the early afternoon as they soaked their feet in the Caribbean Sea.
The Leader of Team Unity, the Hon. Timothy Harris, who was also in attendance, told SKNVibes that the event was used as a togetherness builder where the party sought to have an event for their supporters and their families.
He noted that togetherness is a builder of strength.
“It is an occasion to come together as togetherness is a theme which binds unity together. We say we are better together and together for better in unity, and so as many such occasions arise, such as this one, we intend to bring our people together to build our friendship and feel amongst families.”
Speaking with this publication at about 4:00 p.m. yesterday, Dr. Harris said that the turnout was huge for the inaugural event and that it would grow throughout the afternoon and late into the evening in anticipation of the Small Axe Band performing.
“We have quite a lively crowd developing and growing each hour. But, so far, you see there is hardly any space around in this particular area, and it is growing.
“Well, this is the first one that we have put together…it is a satisfactory turnout at this time of the day and it is expected to build and get even stronger.”
Families and supporters were engaged in various games and activities in the early afternoon, and the Small Axe Band took them to another level of entertainment during the evening proceedings.
