BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - LAST year, patrons laughed to tears and this year Black San promises to have them laughing out loud and more at the LOL Night of Comedy and Drama; another looked forward to Black San Bang-a-Lang event.
The show takes place tonight (Apr. 23) at the Sandy Point Hard Court.
Returning to the stage will be the Poinciana Theatre Productions with a skit performance called ‘Lies, lies and more lies.
Last year they had the audience rolling with laughter in a drama presentation entitled ‘Bleep’, which depicted a mother who physically and psychologically abused her daughter; a fifth form high school student named Shelly-Ann.
Also dramatising will be St. Kitts Star Actors with piece called 'A Divided Family'.
Tonight's show will also feature Trinidadian Stand-up Comedian Errol Febien, who promises a night of pure laughter. He will be bringing to the stage years of experience in making people laugh.
A new addition to this year's line-up is the Neargah Business segment where members of the audience would have the pleasure of telling their own jokes without having to leave their seats.
This addition is expected to add more excitement to the show and give members of the audience the opportunity to display their 'funny side'.
There will also be an open segment for audience members who would prefer to go onstage and recite poems or tell stories.
The show kicks off at 8:00 p.m. sharp at the Sandy Point Hard Court.; so dust off those poetry books and do not forget to bring the neargah business because this year's Black San’s theme says: "Set U Self and Come"!!
