BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – FORMER LIME Miss Black San’ Swimsuit winner Patricia Clarke yesterday (Jun. 29) strutted her way to the Miss National Bank White Swimsuit title, beating out five other competitors.
Clarke, who also competed regionally in 2013 and placed First Runner-up at the Miss Venus Swimsuit Pageant in Antigua, won all three segments of the competition yesterday, displaying her stunning physique and poise.
The other delegates for this year’s competition were Malicia Francis, Roslyn Berkley, Jackiema Flemming, Kanesia Byron and Delonne Walters, who all displayed their swimsuit-ready bodies to the thousands of attendees.
The competition, which could also be described as a Victoria Secret Fashion Show, saw the ladies in the first round modelling full-body swimsuits during a fanfare and introduction number.
Delegates in the next segment were tasked with modelling white identical swimsuits but had to add a bit of flare in order help enhance their runway look. However, most of them used feathered headdress.
In the next segment, the ladies wore their own white swimsuits and added their personal attachments. From a wedding dress, to a samba dress, these ladies had the crowd cheering on.
Although contestant number two, Roslyn Berkley, was the crowd’s favourite for the title, it was complete silence and shock at Carambola when Clarke was announced the winner.
The First Runner-up position went to Malicia Francis while Jackiema Flemming was adjudged Second Runner-up.
Throughout the competition, it was pretty obvious that no one within the crowd showed any support for Clarke, even when prompted by the MC.
However, when it was announced that she had won all three segments, Clarke registered a facial expression of disbelief before taking the final walk as the title holder of the 2014 Miss National Bank White Sands Swimsuit Competition.
The National Bank-sponsored Competition was one of the planned activities for the White Sands event, which is the official ‘Cool Down Party’ of the annual St. Kitts Music Festival.
