BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – THE strikingly beautiful and talented Kaeve ‘Mimi’ Armstrong will tonight (Jul. 4) compete for her first regional title, Miss Carival 2014, in St. Vincent and Grenadines.

The ‘Sugar City’ beauty will be competing against nine other contestants from Venezuela, Guyana, St.Vincent and the Grenadines, St. Lucia, Martinique, Jamaica, Dominica, Barbados and Antigua and Barbuda.

The Miss Carival Pageant was first staged in 1985.

There was no pageant in 1996 and this year will be its 29th staging.

From year to year, overseas contestants and chaperones refer to Miss Carival as “the best organised and professionally run pageant” they have ever attended in the Caribbean and beyond.

The reigning Miss Carival, Leslassa Armour Shillingford of Dominica, will make her final appearance and hand down her crown to her successor at the Victoria Park, St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

Thunderous screams and cheers filled the Sugar Mill in Warner Park last year (Dec. 27) as the confident and beautiful Miss LIME, Kaeve ‘Mimi’ Armstrong, was crowned Sugar Mas’42 National Carnival Queen.
