Two vehicles totalled in head-on collision

By: Terresa McCall, SKNVibes.com

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - TWO vehicles involved in an early afternoon head-on collision yesterday (July 5) along the Island Main Road were totalled while their occupants were transported to the Joseph N. France General Hospital for treatment.

SKNVibes understands that the collision took place at about 1:05 p.m. close to the entrance of Ross Nursing School.

It involved motor vehicle P1122 owned by Andre Huie and driven by Jermaine Willock of St. Peters and motor vehicle P5245 owned and driven by a Mulraine of St. Paul’s.

The former was travelling westward while the latter was travelling in the opposite direction and it is alleged that P5245 swerved to avoid a pothole and went into the path of P1122 which resulted in a collision.

The impact reportedly threw P1122 into the guard hut of Ross Nursing School.

Both drivers and the lone passenger - Andrea Palmer of Newton Ground - were transported to the Hospital for treatment. This publication understands that they did not suffer any life-threatening injuries.

Both drivers were discharged from the Hospital but the status of the passenger is unknown to this media house.
